It's early and i can't sleep at all. I've tossed and turned for hours. So I lay there thinking about the next day and what i need to take care of.. The radio drowns out my thoughts and I toss and turn again. Lillie is giving her speech at school today. She is doing it on Rosa Parks. Wow, she has quite the speech. She has practiced it over and over again and it sounds awesome. CAM AND KI are going bowling today for a field trip. They only have one more week of school left and then summer vacation will be here. Yesterday they had to have their peperoni money in for their sales and then money turned in for bowling and money turned in for swimming for next week and then Lillie needs me to bring cups for her HISTORY Museum speech today.... It doesn't end and I wonder sometimes why I'm so tired. It won't be long and Natalie teacher's will be asking me to bring in the same things for her class..
Yesterday the girls and i spent sometime outside. I just took each one of them and talked and connected with them. They are growing up so fast. Kileigh had a hard day yesterday. She doesn't have anyone to play with at recess and she feels sad sometimes about that. She swung in her swing as she shared her hard day with me. She told me that she wished that i was her teacher at school. I asked her "Why she wanted me to be her teacher?" She said "Because you can play with me at recess and push me on the swing mom." It made me a little bit sad to think that she feels that lonely on the play ground that she wants her mom to come and push her on the swings at school...
Natalie is screaming .... I guess my day is already beginning and it's only 2:48 am..

Natalie's Day

Today was kind of wet outside so we went out for a little bit and played on the swings and rode in the wagon and sat on the new patio set that we got for 50.00. (My mama's big deal of the week) Then mama pushed me around in this old red wagon that I guess we got from Grandpa and Grandma Jones a million years ago when Lillie and Cambriah were little. It's a keepsake is what my mama said.. Then I came in and played with my toys and stood up in my crib so that my mom could see how big I'm getting. I fell out of my crib yesterday and got some big bruises and then i got another bruise when sister Kileigh banged me into the door while she was carrying me around. I'm more than ready for a nap now.....

FLOWER CHILD AND FRIENDS

There is nothing like being outside and watching your kids play. Tonight the girls were playing and blowing bubbles and Cambriah was picking flowers and putting them in Natalie's hair. I grabbed my camera to capture the moment which was very sweet. What a beautiful evening to experience God's moments with our kids. How he longs to experience moments like that with us when we take the time to spend time with him in his word or in worship or prayer...

THIS IS THE DAY THAT THE LORD HAS MADE
This is the day that the Lord has made i will rejoice and be glad in it! I like that because again it's a choice to rejoice in the Lord and be glad in it. But there is such joy in that choice. Today I'm rejoicing because our Lillie was chosen Little Miss African American to represent the state of Oregon for a scholarship program. The event takes place in August and Lillie will have 4 categories where she will be judged in. She has to write a report on someone in black history and i was so excited for her that i didn't hear the other 3 categories. It's for girls with big dreams and big goals in their life. It's not a beauty pagent but a pagent for girls with goals and she has to write a speech and it sounds like such a blast. .... stay tuned for the latest with her. Carl got home late last night. I DIDN'T hear him come in but he was there in bed with me when i woke up to go to the bathroom, so i guess he made it home okay.lol lol
It's so warm now.. I mowed the lawn yesterday and did some yard work outside. It felt good to get outside and take in the smells of summer with fresh cut grass! I LOVE THAT!
Have a great day!

To be alive
I'm so thankful to be alive! To be able to have the Christ that lives inside of me dwell in my heart. Today I'm free of bitterness, anger, jealously, strife, anything that might separate me from the FATHER. I love the forgiveness of Christ! He renews us each and every day and today I accept his forgiveness and I'm thankful that he does forgive when we ask him to. The key is us asking him to forgive us so that we can live a free life for that day! Today I choose to walk in his peace, his majesty, his comfort, his healing, his love, his compassion! May I be an example of the Christ who lives within me! It's going to be a great day! I can see that already. Thank you for saving me today Lord.

How fast the days go
Here it is Wednesday already.. I mean Tuesday.. I can't keep up with the days. They go by way too fast. I spent today just taking in my kids. The funny things they say or the funny things they don't say. Cambriah was asking me about something on her face and she wanted to know what it was. I told her that it looked like a zit. She said "Yah, it's a zip!" I laughed and laughed. She was very confident that she now knew that it was a ZIP! Problem solved. Natalie is talking up a storm and i'm trying to teach her to say MA MA.. I keep saying it over and over again and over and over again and within a few minutes she says DA DA.. Kileigh said Mom she said DA DA." I immediately reply~"No, she didn't (although she did). "Yes she did mommy." Here Carl is out of town and she says DA DA AND NOT MA MA.. Go figure! My plan back fired I guess. I'll keep trying and we'll see what she says next.
Anyway, parenting has been fun this week even when there are hard days.

We live in Aruba
We love living in Aruba. It's so beautiful... We have 10 kids from the ages of 27-42. They all live in Hawaii.... Now i can relax with the Grand kids when they visit us in Pennsylvania.
The weather has been so beautiful today. I can't get enough of the sun! Carl got home at 2:30 from Mexico. He's so tired and he woke up with a headache. I took the girls to school while he stayed with Natalie and we got a chance to visit before he left for work again. On Monday he flies to Wisconsin till Wednesday night. I can't keep up with the fast pace of his schedule.
I'm anxious to spend Mother's Day weekend enjoying the girls and then having some alone time as well. I need that after parenting all week. I enjoy the down time when no one needs anything from me. Randi and I are going to the Brunch at church this morning. Connie Colbaugh will be speaking. I always look forward to this time with other ladies from our church. On Sunday Randi and her family are coming over in the morning before church to have breakfast with us and then we'll all go to church. In the afternoon Randi and i are going to go to HAPPY HOUR at Stanford's for an hour while Carl agreed to watch 10 kids for a quick hour while we get out. I'm hoping that it will be a nice day so that the kids can play outside. Stay Tuned.

AWANA AWARDS/BACK UP BABY FRED MEYER
The girls had their AWANA award night last night. It was so fun to see them finish off the year with a BANG. Cambriah got a BLUE ribbon for finishing one book this year. Her leader presented her with a bible to which was great. Cambriah was so proud. Afterwards they had treats and we visited with some of the parents.
Yesterday morning Natalie got a job as BACK UP BABY for Fred Meyer. It was a fun experience. I guess if first baby doesn't make it through the shoot then they call The BACK UP BABY to step in. (From what i hear they always end up using the back up baby. ) We were there for 10 minutes and the first baby made it through the shoot just fine. So.. little Natalie didn't have to do anything and she still got paid. Each experience has been so fun! We embrace each moment with anticipation and our readiness to be an expample of the Christ who lives in us. Natalie made a new friend with the first baby.

Crazy Days-Lazy Days
May seems to be so full as of right now.. Crazy would be a good word. We work hard to keep our lives balanced but at the same time the journey of each new day is full to say the least. Lillie and Cambriah are in full swing of playing basketball right now. They play 3 times a week. Thank GOODNESS the community center is right down the street. (Now I'm finally one of those parents who doesn't have to travel 3,000 miles for a basketball game) I could get used to that. Kileigh is playing soccer downstairs while Lillie and Cam are playing basketball upstairs. Natalie trail our way around to each girl to make sure all 3 of them sees mom watching them play..lol lol It really is a crack up to keep that balanced.
